Your Partnership Manager has a wealth of resources and expertise and is ready to support your business. And at our September Broker Insights Webinar, award-winning Partnership Manager Haley Bellamy took brokers through a day-in-the-life of a Partnership Manager and all the ways they can support you.
Here is a snapshot of Haley’s session.
With many of our brokers being single-person operators or small business owners, PMs can find themselves fulfilling a few different roles.

Networking, education, and support
As an industry, brokers are moving through a period of tremendous growth and advancement. We've built our events, education and community programs to help you stay ahead of the curve.
Our Partnership Managers are hosting and helping you to achieve your goals with a range of digital and in-person events such as our AFG Innovators, state-based coffee catchups and lender round robins, Winning Women forums and events, Back to Basics webinars, and other networking events and webinars.
Helping connect you to the right expert in the field
As an AFG member, you have access to over 200 industry experts from our team across the country. Part of the role of the PM is to connect you with the right subject matter experts when the need arises.
For example, you’ll have access to a significant number of programs that’ll help you improve your business. We also have sponsored programs available, such as Broker Essentials, Revolution, Thrive, State of Play, Ascendo, and our very own AFG Academy.
Brokers who have participated in these programs have seen significant growth trajectories, greater efficiency, improved customer outcomes, and staff satisfaction. Many have been able to take holidays for the first time in years because of the changes they've made through these programs.
The year ahead
For many of you, 2022 has been your most challenging but most successful year of business.
After celebrating your incredible achievements, it's time to look to the year ahead, and think about how your PM can help you with the following priorities:
- Having a plan: failing to plan is planning to fail. You need to find ways to work on your business not only in them;
- Process, process, process: focus on process to create better efficiency and work with your PM to ensure you have a repeatable experience for your clients and team;
- Post settlement strategy and action plans: have conversations with your PM around your strategy and ensure you’re leveraging the data and insights you have at your fingertips;
- Cashflow vs. growth: regardless of whether you’re a cash flow business or whether you’re building an asset you need to think through what is meeting your goals.
Have a chat
Now that you have a better idea of the variety of hats our PMs wear every day – don't forget you can always reach out regarding any of the support options that we’ve discussed in this article.
